In September 1998, a group of students from Hunan Province passed the strict selection by German Siemens and school, came to Tianjin Sino-German Training Center (now upgraded to Tianjin Sino-German University of Applied Technology) for a three-year study. In September 1998, a group of students from Hunan Province passed the strict selection by German Siemens and school, came to Tianjin Sino-German Training Center (now upgraded to Tianjin Sino-German University of Applied Technology) for a three-year study. Some of students chose power electronics majors, and some others chose  Mechatronics major. With a passion for knowledge and a longing for the future, they have embarked on a new journey in life. Twenty years have passed, and the young boys and girls of the past are now over forty years old, struggling all around the world.

Before Chinese New Year, under the organization of Yi Weibiao, the former 98-year class leader of Sino-German training class, these classmates and alumni of Hunan gathered in China Power Valley Sino-German Intelligent Manufacturing Technology Public Service Platform (inter-enterprise training center), recalling youth and talking future. In March 2019, after a short reunion, alumni took a group photo at the Sino-German Intelligent Manufacturing Technology Public Service Platform (inter-enterprise training center).
