In response to the national calls of ‘Accelerate the construction of New Engineering Subjects and Develop Senior Engineer’ (MOE 2013 No.3) and ‘Construction of National Industry-Education pilot projects’ (NDRC 2019 No.1558), Rhein-Koester is committed to supports the ‘Replace old growth drivers with new ones’ strategy, enhance the cooperation between enterprise and colleges; on 18th of June, 2021, the Shandong University of Science and Technology & Rhein-Koester signing ceremony was held in Rhein-Koester (Qingdao) Co.,Ltd. 

Zeng Qingtian, the vice principal of the university, made speech during the ceremony. He indicated that the development principle of the university is highly consistent with the positioning of Rhein-Koester. The agreement is an innovative approach to promotes the cooperation between university and company, as well as the integration between industry and education; it is important for the development of ‘Black and Blue’ of the university (Black for Coal major, Blue means location advantages where the university is near to ocean) . 

Cui Zhi, the general manager of Rhein-Koester, indicated that Rhein-Koester would fully supports the project implementation based on German educational resources and rich experiences in field of Sino-German intelligent manufacturing. Henceforth, the both parties would carry out in-depth cooperation in talent development, R&D, and industry to enhance integration between industry, learning and research; the cooperation will transfer the theory-oriented model to training model based on actual need of industries, and transfer the traditional separated (majors) learnings to integrated (majors) learnings, which greatly improve the practical abilities, engineering design abilities, logical thinking, international vision and innovation abilities of students. Lastly, Cui Zhi hopes the cooperation would effectively promotes the ‘Replace old growth drivers with new ones’ strategy by developing compound talents resources and providing advanced technologies.  

Zeng Qingtian, the vice principle, and Cui Zhi, the general manager of Rhein-Koester,  signed the cooperation agreement.  

Representatives from Shandong University of Science and Technology, visited Rhein-Koester Intelligent Manufacturing Digital Training Factory. 

Rhein-Koester and Shandong University of Science and Technology would take the cooperation as an opportunity, follows principles of development, openness and mutual benefit, actively introduce German talent development standards and relative resources to carry out in-depth cooperation in talent development, jointly construction of majors, international cooperation, industrial service etc., as well as develop a group of innovative talents who are proficiency in intelligent manufacturing.
