Rhein-Koester Study Visit Exchange Activity

The
‘Technical Dialogue · Cultural Resonance’ study visit and exchange program,
co-initiated by the Bavarian Technical Academy and Rhein-Koester, was
successfully concluded from March 21 to 31, 2026.

On-Site visits to the frontiers of smart manufacturing

The study visit delegation toured the Zibo and
Beijing branches of Rhein-Koester, conducting on-site research into
the company’s technological innovations and industrialized application cases in
core areas such as intelligent manufacturing, industrial robotics applications,
and digital factory solutions. They gained direct insight into the practical
pathways for integrating and implementing Sino-German technologies.

At Zibo Polytechnic University
, the delegation made an in-depth visit to the campus training facilities and
teaching classrooms, gaining a detailed understanding of the university’s
distinctive talent cultivation model characterized by “school-enterprise
dual responsibility and work-study integration.”

Subsequently, the delegation visited AUBO
(Shandong) Intelligent Robotics Co., Ltd., where they observed up close the
flexible and efficient applications of collaborative robots across various
scenarios, including industrial production and smart services.

Site Visits

Technology as a Bridge, Competition as a Bond

The delegation’s technicians teamed up with
Chinese students from Rhein-Koester’s “Training-to-Employment in
Germany” integrated program to collaboratively complete a smart car
project hands-on training session.

During their spare time, the two sides also
held a friendly basketball match, bridging distances through shared sweat and
further deepening cross-border friendships.

Urban Heritage – Experiencing Intangible
Culture

The technicians visited the Zibo Ceramics and
Glass Museum, where they carefully admired exquisitely crafted traditional
glass artworks. They also toured the local “Eight Bureaus”
convenience market, savoring Zibo’s signature barbecue and other local
delicacies, while gaining a taste of the warmth and vitality of Chinese urban
life.

The delegation also visited the museum to learn
about the origins and evolution of Cuju (ancient Chinese football) and its
influence on world football.

Cultural Immersion – Eastern Elegance

Chinese Language Class

The technicians began by learning their own
Chinese names, and systematically studied basic Chinese characters,
pictographic writing, and everyday spoken expressions.

Calligraphy Practice

Picking up brushes and dipping them in ink,
everyone started with basic strokes and earnestly experienced the rhythmic
beauty of Chinese character writing.

Making Dumplings

From rolling out wrappers to filling and
pinching them shut, the technicians experienced the entire process of making
dumplings from start to finish.

Ancient Charm of Beijing – Echoes of History

At the end of the itinerary, the delegation
visited the Forbidden City in Beijing to learn about the architectural
regulations of ancient Chinese imperial palaces. Afterwards, they ascended the
Great Wall to survey the structural layout of this world cultural heritage
site.
