In January of 2019, Zibo Vocational Institute and Rhein-Koester signed to launch the jointly-establishment project of mixed ownership secondary college — Sino-German Intelligent Manufacturing College, it innovated a new vocational educational model in ‘Zibo style’.

In the nearest future, Zibo Vocational Institute and Rhein-Koester will jointly develop and explore the talent training method which connects the Secondary Vocational Schools, Higher Vocational College and Undergraduate. The training contents consists of Digital technology, Information technology, Automation Technology and other majors. With total investment of 2.11 billion Yuan, the Sino-German Education-Industry Intelligent Manufacturing Demonstration Base is expected to established in high-tech zone of Zibo. The base covers approximately 160,000.00 m² and it will mainly construct two innovated ecology of ‘Digital Economy’ and ‘Intelligent Manufacturing’. The demonstration base consists of three major functional platforms of ‘Digital Economy to accelerate Innovation’, ‘Talent Trainings for different Positions’, and ‘Digital Industrial Service’. In the base, Rhein-Koester would introduce premium and professional resources to further contributes to ‘Mixed-ownership revolution’, ‘Revolution of Teaching Method, Teachers Qualities and Textbooks’, and faculty development of ‘Dual-Teachers’. Lastly, the base would supports the innovation in vocational education and regional economy development.
