On August 4, 2023, the concluding ceremony of the
third phase of the Sino-German Advanced Vocational Education Cooperation
Project (SGAVE) in the field of intelligent manufacturing took place at the
Sino-German Intelligent Manufacturing Industry-Education Integration
Demonstration Base. This phase featured a dual-system teaching method course
focused on pedagogical techniques for smart manufacturing. Approximately 40
educators from 12 institutions including the Rhein Koester Vocational Education
Industry Research Institute, Shanghai Overseas Vocational and Technical
University, Fujian Electric Power Vocational and Technical College, Hubei
University of Science and Technology Vocational College, and Zibo Vocational
College participated in the event.
Dean Liu Dali from the Rhein Koester Vocational
Education Industry Research Institute, along with educators from the
aforementioned institutions, attended the ceremony. Dean Liu summarized the
training using six keywords: “reflection,” “experience,”
and “prospects.” He expressed his hope that the participating
educators would fully integrate the knowledge gained from this training into their
everyday teaching practices. This, in turn, would nurture a pool of highly
skilled professionals capable of creatively applying their knowledge and
meeting the actual needs of society and businesses. He emphasized their
significant role in contributing to the high-quality development of vocational
education in the country.

Leveraging the Sino-German Intelligent Manufacturing
Industry-Education Integration Demonstration Base, the Rhein Koester Vocational
Education Industry Research Institute will support pilot institutions in
creating high-quality international cooperative programs for nurturing skilled
technical professionals. This initiative will serve as a foundation for
supplying talent to facilitate the transformation, upgrade, and high-quality
development of China’s manufacturing industry.
