On March 3, 2025,  the RheinKoester-Dalian Polytechnic University Internship and Practical Training for Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering major was successfully held at the Sino-German Demonstration Base of Intelligent Manufacturing Industry-Education Integration. Gao Ping, Executive Vice President ofRhein Koester Institute for Talent Education and Deputy General Manager of the Education Empowerment Centre, Wang Mingwei, Vice Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation of Dalian University of Technology, and 56 students of the school’s Class of 2022 majoring in Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering attended the event.

Mr. Gao Ping, Deputy General Manager, said in his speech thatRhein Koester, as a pioneer in the integration of Chinese and German intelligent manufacturing industry and education, is committed to strengthening China’s intelligent manufacturing and cultivating future talents. In this training,Rhein Koester will provide a valuable platform for students to change their status from “students” to “engineers” through its full-chain technical service system and in-depth industry-education integration strategy, and will work with Dalian Polytechnic University to explore an integrated training model. At the same time, we will work with Dalian Polytechnic University to explore the integrated training model, tailor the practice files for each student, and provide opportunities for excellent students to be included in the talent resource pool and participate in the Sino-German joint training programme.

Wang Mingwei,Vice Dean,  used the metaphor of ‘snow’ to symbolise the brand new opportunities and fruitful results that this hands-on learning will bring. He pointed out that as an interdisciplinary new engineering major, the core value of intelligent manufacturing lies in cross-border integration and the close combination of theory and practice.

The three-month internship is a combination of practice and theory, covering a range of cutting-edge and practical course areas such as digital design and manufacturing, CNC machine tools and programming, electrical control and PLC project training, intelligent production line design and simulation technology, integrated smart factory practice and machine vision.
