On June 11th, the China Europe Vocational Education and High skilled Talent Development International Exchange Conference was held in Qingdao. During the conference, former Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero visited Rhein KoesterIntelligent Technology (Qingdao) Co., Ltd. located in Qingdao Sino-German Ecopark. Song Jingwu, Vice President and Secretary General of the European Union Association of China, Zhang Yunqing, Deputy Director of Qingdao Sino-German Ecopark , Professor Eric Moskwa, President of Rhein Koester Group, Cui Zhi, Chairman of Rhein Koester Group, and Tang Jun, President of the China region, participated in the event to jointly explore new opportunities for vocational education cooperation between China and Europe.
Mr. Zapatero and his delegation visited the Rhein Koester Group’s Sino German Intelligent Manufacturing Technology Dual Cross Training Center, Intelligent Manufacturing Material Sorting System Intelligent Production Line, Digital Scene Exhibition Center, etc., gaining a deep understanding of the development history of the Rhein KoesterGroup, the construction of the Dual Cross Public Training Base, the direction of industrial upgrading, and the concept of talent cultivation.
When it comes to the talent demand in Spain, Mr. Zapatero stated that there is a significant shortage of technical positions in the manufacturing and new energy sectors, and the solid practical skills and cross-cultural adaptability of Chinese students are the resources that companies urgently seek. He looks forward to establishing a long-term strategic partnership with Rhein Koesterto jointly promote deep cooperation between China and the West in areas such as mutual recognition of vocational education standards, talent cultivation, and technical exchanges, providing strong talent support for the transformation and upgrading of industries in both countries.
