The China Europe International Conference on Vocational Education and High skilled Talent Development was held in Qingdao, and important consensus was reached between Chinese and foreign representatives

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and the EU. To further promote China EU vocational education and people to people and cultural exchanges, the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the China EU Association jointly held the International Exchange Conference on China Europe  International Conference on Vocational Education and High skilled Talent Development in Qingdao, Shandong Province, on June 11.

The conference is themed “Empowering China Europe Vocational Education and High skilled Talent Training Exchange and Cooperation with Digital Intelligence in the New Era”. Mr. Liu Qibao, Vice Chairman of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and President of the European Union Association of China, former Spanish Prime Minister Mr.Zapatero, and Mrs. Zhao Yan, Deputy Mayor of Qingdao Municipal People’s Government, attended the meeting and delivered speeches.

China and the EU are comprehensive strategic partners, and strengthening vocational education cooperation between China and the EU not only benefits each other but also the world.

Mr. Zapatero stated that economic and trade exchanges play an important role in promoting good relations between countries and regions around the world, and in the medium to long term, educational exchanges are very helpful in consolidating and deepening these relationships.

Mrs. Zhao Yan stated that Qingdao has a long history of vocational education cooperation with Europe. Currently, five Sino German vocational education cooperation platforms have been established, including the Qingdao Hans Seidel Foundation Vocational Ability Development Center and the Vocational Education International Living Room. She stated that Qingdao will take this conference as an opportunity to establish a demonstration base for Sino German vocational education cooperation, increase cooperation with European vocational education, encourage and support vocational colleges
