On April 7, 2023, a strategic cooperation signing ceremony was held between the OUC Education and Training Center (Wukesong) and Rhein Koester (Beijing) Intelligent Technology Co. Wang Qifu, Director of the OUC Education and Training Center, Tang Jun, President of Rhein Koester Group China Operations Headquarters and other relevant leaders attended the signing ceremony.
Director Wang Qifu said that the OUC Education and Training Center is one of the branch centers of credit bank learning achievement certification set up by the National Open University and the research center of integration of industry and education of the National Open University, as well as the national professional and technical personnel continuing education base. In the past two years, the National Open University has been selected as one of the first training institutions of the Vocational College President Training Base of the Ministry of Education and the Digital Technology Engineer Training Project of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security respectively. The training Center will carry out in-depth cooperation and exchanges with high quality units represented by Rhein Koester, and build a flexible and open “Flyover” of lifelong learning, including horizontal communication between non-academic continuing education and academic continuing education, vertical connection between secondary vocational education and higher vocational education.
President Tang Jun expressed that Rhein Koester will rely on the Sino-German Smart Manufacturing Industry Education Integration Demonstration Base Network, take the “14th Five-Year Development Plan of the National Open University” as guidance, and do its utmost to serve the development strategy of the National Open University of China of ” Changing from Diploma Enhancement to Skill Improvement, and from Emphasis on Online to Online/Offline Integration “. The next step is to carry out in-depth cooperation with the OUC Education and Training Center in the areas of ” Digital Technology Engineer Training”, “Smart Manufacturing Teacher Capacity Enhancement”, “Smart Manufacturing Vocational Skills Training and Certification” and “Smart Manufacturing Training and Practice Base Construction”.
The two sides will launch a training programme for headmasters of vocational colleges nationwide as soon as possible, transforming new technologies, standards, techniques and concepts into vocational education and open education resources in a timely manner, and enhancing the professionalism of senior managers and professional leaders of colleges and universities from policy, management, education and economic perspectives.
At the same time, we will follow the trend of accelerating the digital upgrade of China’s intelligent manufacturing, carry out special training for digital technology engineers as soon as possible, and participate deeply in the “National Project for Updating the Knowledge of Professional and Technical Talents” to accelerate the cultivation of digital technology skills and help the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy.
