On November 29, 2021, the signing ceremony of Rhein-Koester&KUKA Education/Equipment Automation Industry Partner was held in Rhein-Koester Sino-German Intelligent Manufacturing Industry-Education Demonstration Base. Ding Ning, the industry director of KUKA (China) Electronics and Equipment Automation and Southern District Head, Chen Hong, Education Industry Manager, Cui Zhi, the chairman of Rhein-Koester, Chen Peng, the vice general manager, Wang Honglei, the general-manager assistant, Zhu Jianzhong, the director of R&D department, attended the ceremony.


Chen Peng, the vice general manage of Rhein-Koester signed the cooperation agreement with Ding Ning, the industry director of KUKA (China) Electronics and Equipment Automation and Southern District Head.


Cui Zhi, the chairman of Rhein-Koester, and Ding Ning, the industry director of KUKA (China) Electronics and Equipment Automation and Southern District Head, inaugurated the ‘KUKA-Rhein Koester System Partner’.


In the seminar, Ding Ning introduced the development of KUKA in China in detail, and was full of expectations for the prospects of cooperation between the two parties. He hopes that both parties will actively implement the national science and technology innovation strategy, actively promote technological innovation, give full play to the advantages of both parties’ resources in intelligent manufacturing digitization, industrial Internet, etc., ensure the rapid implementation of cooperative projects, and supports the innovation and  promotion of KUKA’s product and technology, as well as help more traditional enterprise completing their transformation to intelligent manufacturing. 


Manager Chen Hong said in his speech that Rhein-Koester has rich experience in deepening the integration of industry and education, and the cooperation between school and enterprises. KUKA also has its own industry-education integration center, production-education integration base and technology application center and other high-quality resources. The two parties have similar Sino-German backgrounds and cultures, which have laid a solid foundation for quickly reaching a consensus on cooperation in a short period of time. Chen Hong hopes that the two parties will accelerate the process of cooperation on the premise of enhancing students’ professional ability and innovation and practical ability, cultivate more high-quality technical and technical talents that are in line with the development of the enterprise.


Cui Zhi, Chairman of Rhein-Koester, said that Rhein-Koester and KUKA are both companies ‘originated in Germany and localized in China’. The company is a pioneer in the field of integration of industry and education in Sino-German intelligent manufacturing. With the mission of ‘Building a future-oriented intelligent manufacturing talent training system to enhance industrial development’, the built intelligent manufacturing related ‘internationalized talent training, Sino-German technology transfer, and industrial upgrading services’ three in one base & platform and the unique industry-education integration operation model had been successfully promoted and replicated across the nationwide, and which have a certain influence in the country. He expressed the hope that Rhein-Koester’s  cooperation with KUKA this time will provide the education industry with world-class robotic soft and hardware products and solutions, continue to increase investment in the education market, and further improve the participation rate of school-enterprise cooperation, talent training and faculty training, cultivate compound talents that meet international standards for the Chinese manufacturing industry.


After the signing ceremony, director Ding Ning, accompanied by Cui Zhi,  visited the Sino-German Intelligent Manufacturing Industry-Education Demonstration Base.


Rhein-Koester and KUKA will jointly build the Rhein-Koester Industrial Robot Industry College, and establish a Robotic Talent Training Model based on the integration between industry-education in nationwide. It will continuously cultivate a large number of technicians to meet the needs of industry and social development, and jointly build the ‘Open Lab for Rhein-Koester Industrial Robotic Technology and System’ , creates innovative application scenarios such as robot system integration, robot digital simulation, robot + industrial Internet, robot + artificial intelligence, and human-machine collaboration. Relying on the Sino-German Intelligent Manufacturing Industry-Education Integration Demonstration Base and the robotic laboratory, the two parties jointly established the ‘Rhein-Koester Robot Industry Service Station’ and jointly launched the ‘KUKA Robotic Engineering and Technical Talents Commissioned Training Project’ to comply with intelligent manufacturing Industry development trend, hold the historical opportunity of the integration of industry and education, give full play to the respective advantages and characteristics of both parties, and jointly cultivate high-skilled technical talents in the field of comprehensive robot applications.
