On August 16, 2025, the signing ceremony for the Hong Kong Polytechnic University-Zibo City University-Local Cooperation Project was held at the Qisheng International Hotel Conference Center. The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Rhein-Koester signed a cooperation agreement to jointly cultivate talent for industrial transformation and digitalization.


 At the signing ceremony, Professor Wang Liqiu, Chair Professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and Cui Zhi, Chairman of Rhein-Koester, formally signed the “Cooperation Agreement on Industrial Transformation and Digital Talent Development for Human-Machine Integration.”


Following the meeting, Professor Teng Jinguang, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and President of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, led a delegation to visit Rhein-Koester. The delegation comprised authoritative experts from the fields of mechanical engineering, applied mathematics, and biomedical engineering.

The delegation visited the Sino-German Smart Manufacturing Industry-Education Integration Demonstration Base operated by Rhein-Koester, focusing on core facilities such as the smart production line training platform, digital twin technology application scenarios, and industrial robot collaboration systems.





This signing marks a significant step in deepening the collaborative innovation between The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Rhein-Koester in industry-academia-research partnerships, and represents a continuation of the strong foundation of cooperation between the two parties.
