On May 26, 2026, the launch meeting of the
Industry-Education Integration Task Force of the Smart Manufacturing System
Solutions Provider Alliance took place in Zibo, Shandong. Hosted by the Task
Force and organized by Shandong Rhein-Koester and Zibo Polytechnic University
, the event brought together over 80 representatives from 30 member
organizations, including enterprises, universities, and research institutes.
Member certificates were presented, signaling
the Task Force’s official operational launch, with members pledging to advance
industry-education integration. The meeting confirmed deputy leaders and member
units and unanimously approved the Task Force’s management rules.
An afternoon closed-door session focused on the
group standard Smart Manufacturing Services – Competency Requirements for
Professionals, with discussions on its framework, content, and task allocation,
paving the way for future standard development.
