On August 22, 2025, the Intelligent Manufacturing System Solutions Conference was grandly convened in Beijing.
In his address, Vice Minister Xin Guobin emphasized that in the face of the wave of new-generation information technologies such as artificial intelligence and digital twins, we must firmly seize strategic opportunities, strengthen technological integration and innovation, consolidate industrial foundational capabilities, expand international cooperation, and accelerate the development of an intelligent manufacturing solution system that is innovation-driven, secure and reliable, and open and collaborative.
In his keynote address titled “Building a Strong Intelligent Manufacturing System Development Team,” Director Zhou Ji emphasized that intelligent manufacturing is fundamentally a human-information-physical system, with the core focus being on “people.” It is imperative to cultivate and develop high-quality talent for intelligent manufacturing and build a strong engineering and technical workforce for intelligent manufacturing projects.
The conference featured multiple concurrent sub-forums. Among them, the Sub-Forum on Innovative Development of Industry-Education Integration in Smart Manufacturing was co-hosted by the Industry-Education Integration Task Force (in preparation) of the Alliance of Smart Manufacturing System Solution Providers and the Dongcheng Park Management Committee of Zhongguancun Science Park, with Rhein-Koester serving as the organizer.
Xiong Fei, Deputy Director of the Dongcheng Park Management Committee of the Zhongguancun Science Park, stated in his address that the “Industry-Education Integration Task Force” formally established during this forum represents a significant initiative to promote resource sharing, model innovation, and substantive collaboration.
Zeng Weiming, Deputy Director of the Talent Exchange Center under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, shared strategic insights on cultivating talent for intelligent manufacturing and the center’s key initiatives in advancing industry-education integration.
Zhu Kaizhen, Member of the National Intelligent Manufacturing Expert Committee and Chief Expert of SINOMACH, delivered a keynote speech titled “Talent Demand in the Context of Intelligent Manufacturing Development.”
Zhang Liangyun, Party Secretary and Director of the Zibo Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, shared practical experiences on “Government-Enterprise Collaboration in Industry-Education Integration to Build a Talent Base for the Intelligent Manufacturing Industry.”
At the meeting, Xu Zhi Fu, Senior Training Manager at Rhein-Koester, shared insights on the innovative practice of “Dual-Track School-Enterprise Collaboration in Building Micro-Specializations for Intelligent Manufacturing System Integration.” He systematically outlined Rhein-Koester’s end-to-end implementation approach—spanning curriculum development, training base construction, joint faculty development, and mutual recognition of certifications—which effectively enhances practical skills and integration capabilities through real-project-driven, modular teaching methodologies.
During the conference, Zhang Gengsheng, Deputy Party Secretary of the China Electronics Standardization Institute, and Zeng Weiming, Deputy Director of the Talent Exchange Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, jointly unveiled the plaque for the “Industry-Education Integration Task Force of the Intelligent Manufacturing System Solution Providers Alliance.”
